David Dodd Hand was the most powerful man in Disney lot during Disney’s golden age of feature animation, second only to Walt Disney himself. The director of “Bambi” and “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” eventually left and did some animation projects on his own in England. Those rare cartoons, called Animaland, were thought lost, until they turned up in someone’s garage and have been lovingly restored by Hand’s son, David Hale Hand, who will talk about his dad and show some of his father’s little-seen cartoons.
